How did Week 1 of Advent go for everyone? We did manage to do some things from last week's idea list (like donating food, celebrating St. Nicholas' day), but unfortunately had a rough week. We started off being sick, and then ended the week with the loss of my Grandpa. We are incredibly sad to say goodbye, but feel at peace knowing he is no longer in pain. Please keep my grandpa and our family in your prayers this week. Thank you!
Here's the plan for week 2:
Daily Verses of Reflection:
S: Luke 2: 5
M: Micah 5: 2
T: Luke 2: 6
W: Luke 2:7
R: Isaiah 9:6
F: Luke 2:8-11
S: Luke 2:12
Family Activities:
Find a Christmas activity/event in your town to go to...we are going to a Polish Christmas party :)
Do a random act of kindness.
Make your favorite Christmas cookies.
Craft Ideas:
Make a popsicle nativity scene/ornament.
Color a Christmas picture and send to someone who could use a pick-me-up.

Kid Books/Movies:
Love's Christmas Journey (Ok, you have to watch all of the movies in this series...Pioneer love stories? Heck yes! ;) If you like Little House on the Prairie, these are just like it!)
Like I said last week, we are just picking and choosing from this list - definitely not trying to get it all done! Please share any fun traditions or ideas your family does during Advent!
Here's to a successful week 2!
