John and I have had Abby fill out brackets every year - which is always hilarious! Our 'method' for the little ones is having them pick out colored blocks for who they want to win. A green block is for the higher seed, and a red block for the lower. :) Tim gets to fill his out tonight - we'll see how many upsets he will pick! ;) This year, I found a Mascot Bracket and had Abby use that. She mainly picked every dog and cat, and Notre Dame because she recognized them...but her overall winner is UAB Blazers (#14 Seed, so we'll see! haha). Why? Because they are a Dragon and she thought that was pretty cool. :)
Filling out the brackets last night :) Serious business! ;) |
As for my picks...here is my Final Four:
Notre Dame (Midwest) vs. Baylor (West) and MSU (East) vs. Gonzaga (South) |
If we lived in a perfect world, I'd have Notre Dame vs. Gonzaga in the final game, with Notre Dame winning it all. Probably never going to happen, but a girl can dream! ;)
Who do you think will take it all? Don't forget to fill out your brackets!

Hahaha I love it! I have Mich St and Gonzaga in my final 4 too. I'm not a huge basketball fan but my husband is so this is a fun way to stay involved and interested in what he is.
ReplyDeleteHahahah...I love your method for getting Abby to pick her bracket! I'm not a huge sports fan but college sports fascinate me!
ReplyDeleteGO Irish!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was hard having IU losing to ND but we'll see. Prepare for heartache with Gonzaga...they are one of my favorite teams but they always choke!
ReplyDeleteMarch madness is so fun to watch :) I love doing the brackets with the kids because they typically do well randomly picking :)
ReplyDeleteGo Irish!! I'm hoping they do great - they looked awesome during conference play :)
ReplyDeleteI won a march madness bracket last year without a clue about what I was doing, lol. SO fun you get the kids involved.
ReplyDeleteI think the less you know the better you do! I always over think it, plus I don't like certain teams so I refuse to put them past the Sweet 16 ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah Abby, pick the Georgia Bulldogs! We have done coin flips in the past for Cora's bracket, and she loved that. We also do the women's bracket--I picked ND to win the whole women's tourney this year! However, I played it safe on the men's one since we did a buy-in at my work.
ReplyDeleteThose bulldogs made it to her Elite 8 :) I never think of doing the women's brackets. ..we should do a bracket challenge with our book club girls next year :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! We just had our four year old fill out a bracket and it was a complete trip! We would call out the two schools and her responses were hilarious - "pepperoni" for Providence and "Utan" for Utah in addition to lasagna, hamburger, and Colby's hat! Her bracket will probably win the family bracket contest! :) Thanks for linking up with Waiting on...Wednesday @ While I'm Waiting!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
What great ideas!! I wish I would have filled out a bracket this year, but I was just too busy:( But I've gotten Kentucky going all the way:)

Hahaha I hope her bracket does well!! Abby is currently winning in our pool :)
ReplyDeleteI hope they do well...but I hope ND beats them ;)
