Summer Staples: Favorite Outdoor Games

Summer Staples

If you have never tried croquet, you definitely have to! It's a lot of fun...Jess' husbands' family introduced me to this game many years ago. We are all super competitive, and croquet will bring that out for sure!

My family has played Bocce Ball and Ladder Golf for a few years now. They are my personal favorites, and probably the easiest to get the little kids involved in.

Jess' daughter, J, teaching Uncle Tony how to throw :)

Corn Hole and Kan Jam are both partner games, which we like to play since there are a lot of us. I love corn hole, mainly because it's a game of luck instead of skill ;) Kan Jam is a recent find that our brother Matt introduced us to. I haven't played (I'm horrible at frisbee throwing), but my husband absolutely loves this game.

Our brothers playing Kan Jam :)

Have you played any of these games? What are your favorite outdoor party games - please share! We're always on the look out for new ones to try :)

I'm linking up with these awesome parties!

  1. Those sound very fun, the only one I've tried is croquet... and a pinterest summer activity I saved for us was cutting the (pool) noodles in half and seeing how many balloons you (or the kids) can get into a basket using just their noodle..

  7. We have bocce ball but I've never played it. We love ladder ball, croquet and horse shoes. When we were kids we had a badminton set and a basketball hoop that were favorites.

  9. I'm a big fan of ladder ball. My husband LOVES horseshoes -- he'll want to play it literally all day when we're camping. I suck at it, so I'm usually done after a game or two.

Corn hole is my favorite. I'm so bad at it, but I love to play. You'd think eventually I would get better... but no. haha.
