Basically, with all of these games, you have one minute to complete your task. And let me tell you, most of these are a lot harder than they look! I couldn't find the blueprints for the games on the TV show's website anymore, but they were all easily found on YouTube. I chose the Minute to Win It games that could be played outside, and games that I could use the same supplies for. We divided ourselves up into teams, and did the challenges competing against each other. We also did a lot more as partners or teams. Not all of the games are meant for that, but it is way more fun to get everyone involved if you can! So change the rules as necessary for your get together! :)
Game #1: Elephant March
Supplies: Baseball, Panty Hose, Water Bottles
How to Play: Take ten water bottles and set them up in a line (we did the just the length of the flat area of our driveway). Place a baseball in one leg of the panty hose, and then place the waistline of the panty hose on your head. When the time keeper says go, bend over and start swinging your 'trunk' to knock down the water bottles. First person to knock down all ten bottles wins!
Supplies: Pennies, Panty Hose
How to Play: Place one penny in the bottom of each leg of the panty hose. When the time keeper says go, place your hands in the panty hose legs and inch your way down to grab the penny. You can't grab the hose with your opposite hand to hold on or help in any way. First person to grab both of the pennies and get them back out of the hose wins!
Game #3: Face the Cookie
Supplies: Cookies (we used Oreos!)
How to Play: Place the cookie on your forehead. Using only your facial muscles, move the cookie down your face and into your mouth. First person with the cookie in their mouth wins! The actual game on the show does this with two cookies per person, but we could barely manage one!
Game #4: Chocolate Unicorn
Supplies: Cookies (we used Oreos, but the actual game called for Ding Dongs)
How to Play: First person to successfully stack seven cookies on their forehead and keep it steady for three seconds wins! We did this as a partner game, but it can be individual too.
Game #5: A Bit Dicey
Supplies: Popsicle sticks, dice (six per player)
How to Play: Place a popsicle stick in your mouth. When the time keep says go, start stacking the dice (one at a time) on the end of the popsicle stick. The dice tower must stay up for three seconds. We did this as partners, with one of us stacking the dice on the stick in our partner's mouth. The little kids thought this looked like fun, so they tried it too! :)
Hope you are enjoying the Minute to Win It games so far...it was a blast playing them! :) I'm posting the rest of the games in Part 2 this weekend!Edit: Here are the Minute to Win It Games #6-#9! Enjoy!
