Mother's Day holds such a special place in my heart. It reminds me of the unexpected, difficult, and blessed journey we have had in growing our family...and I am so grateful for every step of the way.
So to celebrate Mother's Day, there are a few serious, special, and fun things I'd like:

1. "I Found Him Whom My Soul Loves" Shirt, Journal, and Print
It's no secret that I love Blessed Is She. Their beautiful daily devotions and awesome blog (all written by real women!) have really helped me strengthen my spiritual life. I would absolutely love to get this pack - the shirt is cute, I know just where to hang the print, and the journal will really help me focus during my prayer time.

Not cut flowers in a vase, but a plant in the ground. There's something about nature that really speaks to me of God's beauty, so a flowering plant is a perfect gift to remind me of God's gift of my beautiful children.

Ok, nobody better make fun of me for this! But Chick fil A's Frosted Lemonade is amazing! If you haven't had it yet, it's basically a lemonade dreamsicle milkshake. Need I say more?! And I realize they're not open on Mother's Day since it's a Sunday...so I'll take one the day before and one the day after to make up for it. ;)

4. Handmade Cards
For every holiday since we started dating, my husband has made me a handmade card. And now he helps the kids make them for me too. Growing up in my family, we made all of our cards for each other. I guess you could say it's a tradition, so I love that now we're doing it too. Plus, it's so precious to see what my husband and the kids come up with, whether it's a Pinterest craft or a coloring page. There's nothing sweeter!
5. Time with My Family
Really, what I want the most for Mother's Day is to have fun together as a family. I like celebrating the day by going out for ice cream, taking a walk around the neighborhood lake, or visiting the zoo. Just being together.
So that's my list....some meaningful with a little fun thrown in. I think that honors the spirit of Mother's Day perfectly for me. So how will you be celebrating Mother's Day this year?
